Victorian cast iron double bed frame
Cast iron reconditioned Victorian double bed frame. It takes a a British standard double mattress (135cm x 190 cm - not included). The bed is 205cm long and 136cm wide. The headboard is 160 cm at its highest, and the baseboard 140 cm at its highest. The bed is on working casters and has a sprung base making it a very comfortable medium firm bed.
I have had the bed around 30 years. It is sturdy, comfortable and works perfectly but the brass at the top of the bed is not in perfect condition and could do with some polishing an reapplication of lacquer. In addition one of the bed knobs is broken and needs resoldering, another bed knob has a small crack.
The item is collection only please. It comes apart into 5 pieces - two side bars measuring approx 7 cm x 7m x 200cm, the headboard measuring approx 136cm x 140cm x 10 cm, the baseboard measuring approx 136cm x 140cm x 10 cm and the sprung based measuring approx 136cm x 200 cm - as you can see from the pictures this can be folded in half.
