This is an original Edwardian Art Nouveau cast iron combination fireplace. Its registration mark dates it to 1901. The quality of this particular casting is noteworthy, with a particularly thick sharp cast. It came from an Edwardian townhouse in Norwich.
It has been stripped of many layers of paint and finished in a traditional cast iron paste. It is complete, retaining its front bars, damper / soot flap and ash cover. There are 2 fixing lugs cast underneath the mantle shelf. Mantle shelf width 825 mm.
Width of main body 615 mm. Dimensions of rear that sits in the chimney. Depth 180 mm x width 380 mm x height 77 mm. This item is advertised as a collect in person pick-up item. Alternatively, if you wish to arrange your own courier service for collection this can happily be accommodated - if so please note that this item is not suitable for a parcel courier and I cannot parcel this item.
Please note, due to thickness of the cast and the firebricks, this particular fireplace is heavy and will require a 2 person lift.
