For sale is this fully restored antique Early Victorian cast iron fire insert / plate from a period property in Didsbury Manchester. It carries original foundry marks and was cast in in the early Victorian period C1850. Classy and elegant in its simple design, it would look beautiful over an open fireplace, existing fire or other opening. It has been professionally stripped, cleaned, given a protective coating and polished to show off its original character.
During restoration we retained the original front bars. The finished result looks stunning and will make an authentic and classy addition your chimney breast opening.
Opening height (to lower lip of opening) 66cm. Opening width (to inner edges of opening) 45cm. Height to top of decorative arch 86cm. Width to edges of decorative arch 81cm. The inner arch finishes around 7cm into the wall.This item has been professionally refurbished by Duncan Reddy Manchester a Specialist in Architectural salvage for over 35 years.
