Antique cast iron statue model of Gebhard von Bluecher. Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, Prince of Wahlstatt. One of the defeaters of Napoleon in the Battle of Waterloo. Cast iron statue of Blücher with a sword in his hand and his foot resting on a cannon. On a pedestal the coat of arms of Blücher, above it the Prussian eagle with plaque: "Prince Blücher von Wahlstatt".
Made by the Royal Prussian Iron Foundry in Berlin around 1827 (The Berlin Iron). The original statue stands in Berlin in the Prinzessinengarten and was unveiled in 1826. It is about 16 cm high. It has remnants of gilding on the plaque and the eagle and his coat of arms. This is a rare item.
