A near pair of antique Victorian cast iron candleholders by E. A rare heavy cast iron candlesticks made by VERLAG BEI E. ZIMMERMANN IN HANAU in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany. Bronzed cast iron renaissance figures holding an ornate candleholder.
The figures standing on an ornate platform. Last quarter of the 19th. Height: 36 cm/ 14.17.
Weight: 1.6 Kg /each. Very old repair on the bottom of one of the figures. (Items look better, than on photos). Items buffed with Renaissance wax to a lustrous sheen which has been used by museums across the world to protect artifacts. Please take a good look at the pictures, so you can see the actual condition of the items.

In the 19th century, the Feineisengiesserei Zimmermann was one of the best-known manufacturers of fine iron and later also cast bronze products, which are now coveted by collectors all over the world as valuable antiques. Bowls, candlesticks, tables, desk and smoking sets made of marble, often in combination with cast iron, later bronze, were delivered to many countries around the world - including the court of Tsar Nicholas II in Russia.
